Adapted from the novel by Hannu Rajaniemi.
A collaboration effort between myself and two other designers.
Project goal was to create an animated trailer for a science fiction novel with no current visual adaptations or media.
I was responsible for the three characters (modeling, rigging, texturing, animation), as well as some additional object texturing, compositing, and animating.
(Handshake and gun raise shots utilized motion capture data. Backgrounds/inanimate objects are my teammates' work.)
This is a college assignment where the goal was to design a completely non-anthropomorphic robot and give it a specific moment where it begins "thinking" for the first time - changing from robotic motions to more fluid movements. This robot is a trash-treasure sorter that contemplates if a garbage can itself is garbage.
Modeled/rigged in Maya and textured in Substance Painter.
This project is a college assignment that required me to design a character without any arms (instead using handheld props as "arms") or eyes. This character then had to attempt to dodge a projectile.

I had the opportunity to work on this film during my time as an intern at Neo-Pangea. It was designed to answer a question that grows more and more common as technology advances:
What will the world look like once AI has outlasted humanity?
Created in Blender 3D, background track is from the Portal series developed by Valve
A walk cycle for a 3D character I designed.
